    makes sense

Well this is a good one. Almost immediately after Russell recieved the diagnosis of advanced metastatic cancer he said "I have more drumming to do!!!!" Back at it six days post RPLND (7 1/2 hours of surgery and 2 liter blood loss!!) Not surprising, it is a healing force for him. thanks for this info, I will print and share for him to see. drumSTRONG - May 3-4, 2008

On May 3 and 4, 2008, DrumsForCures, Inc. presents drumSTRONG, a unique, multicultural charity event held in the pastures of Misty Meadows Farm in Weddington, North Carolina, to raise funds to support those dealing with cancer, cancer education, awareness, and funding for research. It involves people of all ages and is a musical event focusing attention on educating youth to the causes, early detection and effects of cancer. Drummers and other musicians will keep continuous rhythm in motion for at least 25 hours.

"Drum to rekindle the fire of survivorship in you, drum in honor of or in memory of or just out of the goodness of your hearts. Drum with hopes of opening the eyes and hearts of more people to amplify efforts to find cures. Drum to respect and represent all the fighters and survivors who share this history."

Visit www.drumstrong.org for more details as they become available.
