It is with great pleasure that I announce the addition of two new moderators in the TC-Cancer.com support forums:
    • Karen first joined us in March 2006 from New Jersey. Karen's husband was treated for stage I seminoma in late 2005 to early 2006, including radiation therapy, and he has been "all clear" since.
    • Fed joined us in December 2006 from Massachusetts. He was diagnosed with stage IA seminoma the day before Thanksgiving last year and is on surveillance.

Both are frequent contributors who help make this community great.

    Thanks, Fed and Karen!

Thanks to Rune and Don for Their Service

Rune joined the forums in January 2004 and served as a moderator for quite some time. He promises to keep checking in, but life is busy in a good way with other things, and he's ready to step down from moderator duty.

Don joined the forums in January 2005 and became a moderator at the same time as dadmo. Don, please let us know how you're doing! It's been too long.

Thanks to both Don and Rune for the time and energy they've contributed to these forums. It's much appreciated.

      New Moderator Fish!

A round of applause, please, in appreciation for Fish, who first joined the forums in September 2005 and is a new moderator as of today.

To quote CharlieFL's post, "Fish – THANK YOU because you too have a science background and having been hit twice by the enemy, your perspective is ever so important and I’m grateful for your valuable input."

That's easy. Anything with a female above a 1 on the scale Karen deletes. Personally I think it should be added to the hormone help section.

I'm very happy to be able to help out any way I can. I've met some truely wonderful people through this forum and being a part of this family has helped me over a lot of rough spots. The willingness of everyone who posts here to jump in and help the newcomers and oldtimers alike is inspirational.

                            Jim,
Remember when I asked you how you came about your user name at Mark's?
I was curious if it had any religious conotation- not that it matters..
Then you told me your last name, and it fits.
I'm glad you are a moderator- you are sure to help keep us swimming upstream!

I like your Slider Avatar- but I must admit I'm partial to the old fuzzy photo of you in the long, dark overcoat- looked like it was outside on a foggy meadow. I was thinking, this guy must be like a tough Clint Eastwood, or Johnny Cash, keeping an eye on things, there for us- keeping us safe.
That's how I picture you. You and the wolf.
                            Thanks for accepting.

Thanks for the kind words, and I certainly hope to live up to your expectations.

I'll have to see if I can find the photo, Joe.

Mark, I absolutely love the tattoo. It's almost healed. In addition to the meaning of the parts, I picture it whole, as sort of a sheild - helping to protect all of you in this family from harm.

I'm looking forward to displaying it in Philly!

FYI folks, it looks like the stray pup will be staying with us as no owner has turned up. We've been referring to her as the mystery dog, and Mystery has kind of stuck as her name. But, since she was bred to guard Chinese royalty, it seems 2 names are more appropriate, sooo... Duleek's Mystery is my pick (Duleek at Mark's suggestion) it fits well together
