As the one year anniversary came near, the roller coaster of emotions picked up momentum, but as well the reflection of where we have been and the amazing people who have been with us. With resources and energy somewhat depleted, there was a loss of ideas for thank-yous and appreciations. Then an idea sprouted. Donation!! In recognition of Russell's care providers, we made donations to the Livestrong Challenge in their honor!!! I made the donation, waited for the marquee to arrive at their name, stopped the marquee, then printed the screen. From there I wrote a little thank-you and appreciation and mailed to the appropriate people. I have to say as a care provider myself, there is never a thank-you that goes unnoticed. It is fuel in the tank!!!!! To feel connected to a team with a common cause helps the energy to go full circle. In support of our riders.....consider a full circle donation!!! Thanks!! That is an incredible idea. I wanted to do something for my doctor but couldn't think of anything that was non-expensive/non-corny. I might just give your idea a try!
