  • Meeting a fellow tc-cancer.comer

This past saturday Melissa and I had the opportunity to meet "Kman99" (Scott) and his wife up in Boston. It was really cool to see them in person and to have the chance to hang out and talk.

We met up near Boston Common and did a 10 mile run around the Charles River which was great. The weather was perfect for running. Getting sushi for lunch was another plus!!

Thanks again Scott for a great day. Looking forward to seeing you on Marathon weekend.

One of many things I took away from this past weekend, was the bond that this forum creates among it's active participants! It is such an incredible souce of information, but more importantly, brings people in similiar circumstances together. Which is a powerful thing. I can only encourage others who read this, that if you happen to live near another tc-cancer member, to make the effort to meet them in person. As others can verify, it is a very rewarding experience!

Kev..see you in a few months...bring on heartbreak hill!

    Cheers.

            Dadmo..

It has been the generosity of people such as yourself that has helped our (my wife and I) fundraising efforts. We are now just over 50% of our combined goal ($50k) and really hope to raise every single last penny we can.

It really is fun to meet our extended online family. Nancy and I will be meeting Dianne (mom) and her husband in a few weeks. We will also meet Scott at the PA ride and hopefully get to meet Don & Yvonne in FL. I think with Don I might have a wee dram o' Whisky.

One of my resolutions was to behave myself but I think I need some time off for bad behavior.

Okay, you win, your right. It does look kinda like I might be trying to get up after I fell. At least it's an action shot, not one of me staring of into the distance wondering where I left my glasses. Hey, you changed the picture, that's not fair now people, other then Nancy, won't have a clue about what I'm talking about. Well two can play that game.
