  • LIVESTRONG Day

I found out yesterday that I will be participating in the Lance Armstrong Foundation's LIVESTRONG Day event in Washington D.C. this May!

"Two participants from each state ... will meet with their elected officials, participate in interactive advocacy presentations, and listen to guest speakers discuss how to make an impact on Capitol Hill and in their own communities."

I'm very excited about this chance to help make a difference!

See http://www.livestrong.org/livestrongday for details about this event and to volunteer to organize a local community event.

I heard by e-mail, though I'm not sure whether they're contacting everyone that way. I imagine there were more applicants from Florida than there were from New Hampshire. It will be great if you are part of the day, too, Don!

Great pics, Scott (even if you are a mac-type person)! I'm sure you were a great rep on our behalf.

BTW, is that Amy Molenda seated on the right at the CCC Central table in the first pic?

Yes, that's Amy. It was good to see her and her kids and Andrew's mother. Andrew was clearly there advocating with us.
