Thanks April and Kman-FYI I would love to dive there again someday. I dove there in 1997 off St. Georges Island and saw the Bristol, Taunton and CistobalColon I think it was in Dec. It was a great time.

Thanks for all the well wishes from everyone and please let it be know that alot of my strength and sanity was gained though this web-site. I hope that in the next year I hear many others sharing the same news I have.

I regards to scuba-diving post BEP it is in 98% of cases a no-no for at least 2-5 five years and possibly never. I had a pulmonary function test before I dove. The doctor looked at me and Laughed and said I have the lung capacity of an athlete. I attribute the bounce back to years and years of diving- As Dadmo said I am a Very disiplined diver with many, many years of experience from being a diver in the Navy . I admit I jumped the gun with the pulmonary function test but I went on a shear hunch and luckily my hunch was right. I would not recommend it for an in-experienced diver- wait your time ,have the test and go from their.... Best of luck and Thanks again to all!!!!! DON

As a general rule you will be told that you cannot dive after BEP. I will not endorse anyone diving who has had BEP. With that said, if you wait 1-2 years after treatment and get a pulmonologists ok, and you are very disciplined, you may be able to dive to a depth of roughly 25 feet. Don happens to be very experienced and very disciplined. It can be risky even with a doctor’s ok. Diving after BEP is serious business. As the commercials on TV say I don’t recommend you trying this at home the people you are watching are paid professionals.

    Don,

Your a real triumph against the odds, and from reading some of your posts I'm amazed how much strength you've had to get clean. Good luck to you, and post many more clean reports.

I'm always astonished when I read the details in your signature!!

    Don,

When I was going through 4xBEP--and I'm not making this up--your story kept me going when I didn't think I could continue. Best wishes for a long and happy life!!
