  • Epididymis cancer

    Hi,

I'm 28 years old. I had a left varichocele operation last week and after the ultrasound test the doctor noticed a solid lesion on the riht Epididymis and he told me that it has two possibilities 1) a cancer which is very very rare and he will exclude at this stage 2) an old infection and he gave me a medicine for three months then he will repeat the test.
I'm worried now that it can be a cancer, can any one help me from his experience.

    Thanks

I just wanted to welcome you to the forum. I can't help you with this one, but if you give the rest of the gang some time I'm sure you will get lots of great information. My uninformed take is that it's most likely going to be a scar from a past infection. Even though my son had tc which is uncommon I wouldn't expect to see him get something thats very, very rare.
Son Jason diagnosed 4/30/04, stage III. Right I/O 4/30/04. Graduated College 5/13/04. 4XEP 6/7/04 - 8/13/04. Full open RPLND 10/13/04. All Clear since.

Treated by Dr. Rakowski of Midland Park, NJ. Visited Sloan Kettering for protocol advice. RPLND done at Sloan Kettering.
