Vinny --
My heart goes out to you and Sarah. Sometimes I wonder, why does it seem that the good people are the ones who are tested over and over again, while the selfish, the careless, the oblivious seem to go through life without a care in the world or a thought for another human being?
My only guess is to say that these trials in life exist just to take the good people and make them even better; to take the strong and make them even stronger; and to take those people that have that certain glow about them and turn it into a burning light that other people can follow.
Keep shining, Vinny and Sarah.Scott

Thanks for all the messages, y'all.
At the very least, we provided a safe place for this child to transition into a stable and healthy household. It was well worth it, even the heartbreak of having to give him up to another family.
No regrets!Vinny (aka Frank)

My daughter
Hi Vinny,
I just noticed this thread, and wanted to tell you that my first daughter, who is now almost 8 is adopted.
We went through a failed adopted first and it sucked, but our second try brought us Chloe who is as healthy, smart and loving as any daughter could be.
I hope your second try brings you success.
JSRight side orchiectomy, March 2001, 4.5 cm tumor with probable vascular invasion. Chose surveillance.
9.5 cm groinal lymph node tumor found in Dec. 2001
Finished chemo (cisplatin/etopicide) in March 2002.
Two healthy daughters born naturally after chemo, one in January 2004, another in November 2006.
Continued remission to present
