  • Transplant?

    I have a question.

Is it possible to donate testicles or transplant a testicle or testicletissue to someone that has had both testicles removed in cancer?

    Thx in advance.

As of now it has not been done in humans. There has been some success with animals so it may be possible in the future. One interesting thing is that the transplanted testicle produces sperm which a genetic match to the donor and not the recipient.
Son Jason diagnosed 4/30/04, stage III. Right I/O 4/30/04. Graduated College 5/13/04. 4XEP 6/7/04 - 8/13/04. Full open RPLND 10/13/04. All Clear since.

Treated by Dr. Rakowski of Midland Park, NJ. Visited Sloan Kettering for protocol advice. RPLND done at Sloan Kettering.
