  • 3 Months down..............57 to go

    Hi Guys,

    Just a quick update.

Its just coming up on 3 months since I waved goodbye to righty. I've had 2 CT Scans - 1st showed a nodule on the lung - 2nd showed it hadn't changed phew.

No problems detected so far and the doc wants to see me every 2 months instead of every month after Jan.

He feels that since we've gone this far without chemo/radio we might as well continue. I feel the same way.

Its been a life changing experience, I'm excited about life again, I'm far more focused, far more patient. I've quit smoking (something I never thought I'd manage) and have taken up sport again - nothing obvious.............ok I bought a bike.

Anyway I must get ready for work, I wish you all the very best.

    Paul.

Congratulations on quitting the smokes. I know how hard that can be, heck they make them to be addictive. As a side note you're another example of cancer causing bike riding.

        Congrats!

        Hey Paul,

I'm in the same boat... I went and saw Dr. Sheinfeld today... he recommended radiation as well, but thought I told him I'd like to stick with surveillance. I really just want a second opinion on the pathology, and whether based on that, surveillance is a reasonable option...

        Keep the clean scans coming!!!

        Regards,

        DJM
