I know I've only made a whopping two posts here (one of which I wrote approximately thirty seconds ago), but this is so exciting that I'm shouting it from the rooftops. This past Monday, I received official notice from the FAA that I'm medically certified to fly again! I've been done with treatment for a few months now, but this was the final thing that I needed to really feel like I'm getting on with my life. My first post-cancer flight will be this coming Sunday, and it's going to be amazing.

Way to go, Captain Dan! I gut my special issuance in August or September 2005 and haven't looked back since. Even managed to log 100+ hours this year and get my instrument rating.

Hope your medical outlook continues to be CAVU. If you're even planning to blow through mid-Missouri, give me a ring and we'll do some stalls and spins.
