Thank you so much Karen! I am so glad you are enjoying it! Those signatures are gonna be worth a fortune one day ...

It's always going to make me think -- in a year in which I completed my first CD and and went through cancer treatment, it's amazing just how tightly-wound together one of the best and one of the worst experiences of my life have become. It's funny how the universe works. And even this horrible experience of going through cancer -- I'm glad for it; it has only changed me in positive ways. Of course, if I wanted positive change, I could have hoped for methods that involved fewer barium smoothies, scalpels, and big scary radiation guns pointed at my belly but I don't think we're often given that choice ...

Hi all -- thanks for the encouraging comments! I'd be more than happy to arrange to send out autographed copies to those who want one -- I have 5 big boxes filled with CDs in my living room so if you did indeed want an autographed one, send me a private message and we can arrange something that way, rather than having you buy one online and then send it to me when I already have a few hundred right here -- !

I hope you are enjoying a fantastic January 1, and I hope it is less gray and less soggy than it is here in NYC -- !!

I will most likely never post anything like this again but it seem that your being a poet makes a difference (at least in my heart). I'm thrilled that the CD is done (I want an aurographed copy) and you are moving on. My dream is to have people visit and go away when they are cured. If from this point on you only checked in to say "life has never been better" my small dream has been fulfilled. I come to this site for me, I help others because my life has been blessed (Scott you are part of that). Please don't ever feel guilty for not checking in, it's the highest complement I can imagine.

Great sound reminds me of Music Of Espionage Spies CD with the really stong mids and mid-bass I used the Spies CD for system testing for years and is still one of my favorites.
I really like Nowhere's Land wish I had a system to test it on to see what I could blow up finding the weak link I think it would be a mids killer but I love that it is the perfect range that's the range that always brings a smile to me when they sound great and she has a great voice so I think it would really sparkle. Great job

    Shameless Plug time!!

Hi everyone! I hope you are all enjoying a fantastic holiday and I hope you all have a wonderful New Years -- this will be my first post-treatment New Years celebration and I'm sure that it takes on a different flavor from now on ... plenty to muse about as I close the door on 2006!!

Anyway, I promised a shameless plug and here it is: My CD with my friend Michelle Hotaling is finally finished, mastered, packaged, duplicated, and available online!! And as I mentioned quite some time ago, I include tc-cancer.com in my "thank you's" section in the liner notes, since this group was so invaluable to me during the final months of working on the CD. (Trivia: the guitar solo to the song "Porcelain Doll" was recorded rather late the night before my IO surgery, when I was supposed to be resting and getting a good night's sleep -- oops!)

Michelle wrote and sang these songs, and I produced the CD and played (almost) all of the instruments (electric and acoustic guitars, bass, drums, piano, Hammond organ, synth, mandolin, harmonica, percussion, programming, and all string & vocal arrangements) on all of the tracks. Needless to say we're very excited about finishing it!!

You can listen to clips and order the CD online at CDBaby. The songs are also available on iTunes.

Thanks again for all of your love and support, I couldn't have made it through without you!!

    With love,
    Scott Slater
