  • Thinking of Kev332 on Boston Marathon Day

Kev, I hope you were somewhere warm and dry today. I was thinking about you on this Boston Marathon day!

The weather was nasty today in the morning, but as the day went by, it got better and the rain stopped (though the wind didn't). Mile 23 on the marathon is actually 2 blocks from my place, so we hung out to cheer on the runners, particularly the DFCI contingent. Kev, were you there?

      Hi Fed

Kevin ran and finished the Boston Marathon in 2005 (1 1/2 yrs. from his diagnosis date) and again in 2006. His fiance, Melissa, ran it in 2004 in honor of Kevin - all three years they ran for DFMC!!! SUCH A PROUD MOM I AM!! I'm sure Kev will post to this but I had to as well. Thanks for everyone's support and Scott, for remembering his past runs.

Scott, wow, I'm certainly glad I picked this year to not run!!! What a mess it was out there! I spent the day inside, warm and dry, but did track a few friends who still ran it this year again with the Dana Farber Team.. and they actually ran very well!

Fed, also, last year after melissa and i crossed the finish line, I proposed to her
