I'm sure some of you remember Jimmy Valvano's speech he gave at the 1993 ESPY awards... I was looking for the transcript of the speech, but actually found the video of it! Click on this link to watch the video:

For those of you who have not heard of Jimmy V, he was a college basketball coach turned broadcaster. A very motivated individual. He passed away from cancer shortly after this inspirational speech. He was able, however, to create the "V Foundation" for cancer research prior to his passing.

My boss at DFCI is, in fact, a V-scholar himself. The V Foundation does a wonderful job at funding scientists studying cancer at the onset of their careers.
