    Hi all,

    I`m new to this forum.
Just to say i had TC in January 2003. I went straight to hospital thinking
i had a torsion, the doctor there said it was probably an infection but sent me to the operating theatre just in case.
When i came back to the ward after my operation the consultant said it looked like an infection and sent me home with antibiotics and said it should
clear up in about a week.
After a week the left testicle was still enlarged, so i spoke to one of the doctors where i work in a different hospital he was not too pleased with the
treatment i recieved and sent me for an ultrasound scan and the results came
back 2 days later and said it was a tumour and had my testicle removed the next day.
Results came back pretty quick the next day and said i had a seminoma,
so as a precaution had 10 days Radiotherapy.
I am still having check ups every 6 months, chest x-rays,blood tests etc.,
and everything is fine. Thank god i had contacts, it could have been worse.

    All the best to everyone
