Well just an update on my life I havent been here for a while things been a little hectic...I opted for radiation therapy and happy to say had my last zap on May the 29th and can say today is the first day I am not feeling quezy or having major abdominal pain from the effect of the therapy-I actually feel good!!...-just curious anyone out there have radiation therapy? I now have to schedule another appointment with my Medical Oncologist and from my understanding will have a chest x-ray done-well hope everyone here is doing well and will keep you all updated

Congrats on finishing up RT. Your follow ups will consist of a physical exam, blood work, CT scan and chest X-ray scheduled at decreasing intervals for the rest of your long, healthy life. Please keep up with them regardless of how great you feel and how much you may want this done with.

Congratulations on finishing your RT. RT affects everyone differently, and it looks like you might be one of the lucky ones that bounce back quickly. It took me about a month before I could say "I feel good" and probably 6 or more weeks before I could say I felt back to normal.

You should discuss what follow up will look like with your oncologist. A good reference to look over before your appointment is:

It gives the recommended followup protocol, and what your doctor recommends should look similar. You are probably cured, but there is always that slim chance of something being missed, so as Karen said you need to keep current because as with anything it is easier to cure if caught early.
