Welcome to the forum. Tell us a little about you case we can help a bit more. In general if you had a fairly early stage of seminoma and were treated with radiation your chances of being cured are indeed well over 90% but you will need to stick to your surveillance schedule.
Son Jason diagnosed 4/30/04, stage III. Right I/O 4/30/04. Graduated College 5/13/04. 4XEP 6/7/04 - 8/13/04. Full open RPLND 10/13/04. All Clear since.

Treated by Dr. Rakowski of Midland Park, NJ. Visited Sloan Kettering for protocol advice. RPLND done at Sloan Kettering.

Thanks a lot . I did not know so much .When the doctor finds a problem
he puts me to the surgery immedeately . He did this so immedeately that I cannot even tell
anything. They cut everything and send the material to the citology room .
They did this back and forth until they find that the material contain only the normal cells An hour after the ivestigation I was after the operation in my city of Zefat.
A week after that , I was given three week vocation to prepare to the
X ray operation . After that I recieved 2500 Units of radiation in Rabam hospital of Haifa . My surgeon in the local medical service check me every two weeks

        Vivace,
That sounds about right. If you had 100% seminoma, a usual course of action is adjuvant radiation. With radiation and no further spread, your chances of having been cured are around 98%. You just need to make sure that you keep up with your check-ups. Have they done CT scans, chest X-rays and other blood work for tumor markers?

11.22.06 -Dx the day before Thanksgiving
12.09.06 -Rt I/O; 100% seminoma, multifocal; Stage I-A; Surveillance; Six years out! I consider myself cured.

My oncologist sees me on August 8. Next Sunday I do Alphabeta Protein
blood count . This week I have to go to the Ulrasound ,X ray film , and
biochemical count and other count I need . My oncologist instructed my surgeon so this week he sees me. I will not skip any check since I feel my life is at the stake . I hope people in this forum could help me to win too

Let us know your X-ray and blood test results when you get them. An early-caught seminoma with radiation therapy gives you a very good chance that all the cancer is gone! You have my prayers.
4/26/07 - mass confirmed w/ no elevated markers
              4/27/07 - left I/O
              5/2/07 - Dx: 100% seminoma stage 1A
              Surveillance: CT/blood (6 month cycle)
              4/27/13 - 6 years cancer free!
