  • Nutrition Question

What does everyone think about a new topic area concerning nutrition and natural therapy? A strong immune system is very important as we all know, and there are many things we can do. There are many whole food products available that can help achieve good health.

Some claims have been made to help fight cancer. Some may not believe in it, but common sense tells me that if God put it here for our food, then its what was intended for our bodies in the first place.

I would like to start by posting some information about what I have Anthony on.

One thing that I have learned is that our bodies are supposed to be alkaline, but because of certain foods, sugary drinks, plastic bottled water, smoking, our food being irradiated (destroys digestive enzymes in our food) etc, our bodies are acidic. There are things that can be done to change that and most of it involves eating organic whole foods, and because that is sometimes difficult there are organic whole food supplements that can help make our bodies alkaline, plus offer a lot of nutrients.

I just reordered these things for Anthony. He was on them for one month and I noticed marked changes in how he looked, and his energy. It was obvious that these things were doing good things for him.

I started buying everything organic that I possibly could. When you eat organic foods you are eliminating pesticides in your food. Your fruits and vegetables are not irradiated, therefore the natural digestive enzymes that your body needs are intact. Im sure you all probably know these things and I wont get into too much detail. Organics whenever possible.

Anthony drinks ionized water which is alkaline. There are machines that can be hooked up in your home that filter your water. I cant afford that but a health food store I go to weekly, has one and I get gallon glass bottles filled there. Some may think its a scam, and I really dont know. I do know that you can get test strips at the pharmacy and test your bodies ph. That way you can tell if your body is alkaline or acidic.

There is a protocol by amazon herb company. A homeopathic told him to take these products:

    Aquazon
    Fiberzon Plus
    Gravizon
    Rain forest Treasure Tea

We use the liquid gravizon by making the tea (enough for 2 days at a time) and putting a dropperful per cup. We store it in a glass container in the fridge and he likes it best cold. He drinks 3 cups a day.

The other 3 products he takes one capsule 3 times a day.

This is the company: Amazon Herb Co. http://mas.amazonherb.net/

The same woman also recommended another product that I ordered online and Im waiting for. StemEnhance:

The stem cell product is StemEnhance and it comes in a capsule. There are 60 caps in a bottle. The general dosage is 2 caps once a day. If someone wants to double or triple the results they can take 2 caps 2 or 3 times per day. The stem cells will stay in solution in the body for up to 6 hours. So spreading the dosage apart 6 -8 hours will enhance results.

If you want to read more about it and/or order it you can go to our web page, www.realhealth.stemtechhealth.com Click on USA (English) and then click on the arrow just below "Discover Your Bodies Own Ability to Renew Itself". There is a video you can watch about the product.

On both sites I have posted if you wanted to try them for yourself and like the products, you can choose "autoshipment" and will get them a wholesale prices.

I can keep Anthony on the amazon protocol, and the stemcell product for 155.00 per month including shipping by using autoshipment. Its not easy for us to come up with that extra money. Anthony was only on the protocol for one month and then he ran out. A few people in my family each chipped in an amount so that we could get him started on it again, and hopefully we will be able to keep doing that so he can stay on it. Im also posting an article by a journalist so you can see what he had to say about amazon herb company.

The family that owns the grainery in flint have been in this business for 30 years. She told me that they researched and tried many different things, but since they have never found anything like amazon herb company. She and her husband are somewhere around 60 or getting there and they look like they are in their 40's. Im not good with judging age, but they look the picture of health. They also eat only organic foods.

Well there you have it. Some may scoff at things like this, but what do you have to lose for trying.

I saw definite changes in Anthony, and Im determined to keep him eating right, and taking these products.

I split this question out from the "private message storage" thread into its own.

I have no problem at all with discussions about healthy eating and good nutrition. I'd suggest healthy skepticism about unproven product benefits, and I want to emphasize that though it may help with prevention, none of this is treatment for cancer.

I'm all for tips on healthy eating and good nutrition. I take a hand full of vitamins everyday.
I just want to caution everyone, this is a subject matter that spamers will jump on as soon as they find it, so be prepared. I hope we can avoid problems but my spidey sense is tingling already.

I'm not an expert on this by any means but I think once you have cancer it's wise to use conventional therapies to treat it.

        Hi Tammy,

My concern isn't what he's taking, but that these substances, for the most part, don't have much science behind them and it is a possibility the Anthony's AFP creeping up can be a result of the supplements either altering his hormonal chemistry or reacting in the AFP assay, If you have not done so, please make sure Anthony's doc has a list of all the homeopathic substances he is taking.

I agree with Bill that the spammers may jump on this..

I'm not in any way suggesting that anyone not use conventional therapy for cancer treatment. I agree that we should be skeptical when it comes to products that anyone sells that claim to do miraculous things.

I believe that nutritional deficiencies, processed foods, pesticide use, and irradiation play an important role in the reason that cancer is on the rise. I read that 1 out of 4 women will get cancer and 1 of every 3 men will. Thats horrible and something is causing it. I think the first place to look is in what we are putting in our bodies. Food that is not pure, smoking, etc .. and of course our environment. Insecticides for lawn care, exposure to certain chemicals on the job etc ..

I really hope that we dont end up with a lot of spammers because I believe this topic is extremely important.

I agree 100% with everything you said. I'm not worried in the least about anything you or other active members might post. I have questions to ask in this thread myself.

Yes Robert mentioned this to me and as soon as the new shipment comes in I will be taking them to the next onc. appointment so the doctor can see what he takes. These are nothing more then plants from the amazon and all of it is organic, no additives, fillers or anything in them. I have to disagree that there is no science behind them, but thats another topic that I don't see any need to go into here. I would really just like to keep this about strengthening the immune system for optimal health.

I'm glad to hear that. I suspect a lot of people would really like to discuss this.

                  Tammy:
Jason's oncologist wouldn't even allow him to drink herbal tea while he was in treatment. As this thread develops it will be interesting to see if I can replace some of my processed suppliments with more natural alternatives.

                    Well here's my first question.

From what I understand cisplatin leaches the potassium from muscle tissue. In order to counter act this side effect Jason was given prescription strength potassium. Studies have shown that cisplatin can be detected in the body up to 20 after treatment. Should I be pushing Jason to take supplemental potassium?

Did he say why he could not drink herbal tea? Its kind of strange being that without all the information about herbal tea being healthful, it would normally just be on a grocery store shelf and purchased like any other food or beverage.

Did he say it interferes with chemo?

This is an important thing to discuss too, because maybe some herbal teas or supplements interfere with chemo itself. I don't know if thats the case or not, but this should always be taken into consideration during treatment.

Getting rid of processed supplements or processed anything is a good idea if its possible to replace it with natural products. I always look for ORGANIC natural products.

The cancer center where we went said absolutely no vitamins or natural supplements of any kind were allowed. They said it could decrease the effectiveness of chemo. Many people were we told when they learned of their cancer, started taking lots of alternative supplements and vitamins. In fact, some friends of ours sent us a year supply of Shackley (not sure how it is spelled) vitamins and we were not allowed to use them. Just make sure your doctor knows about everything going into his body. Sometimes, even some plant and organic material can impact readings. I think that your choice to try and do everything to help him and strengthen his immune system is a great way to try and help him. You are trying and that counts for a lot!

I don't think enough is known about most supplements interacting with chemo or liver metabolism.
