  • It's Chemo Eve

I just wanted to send a quick note of thanks to those of you who have offered their feedback, opinions, motivation, and support the last few days. I'm so thankful I found this group. Tomorrow I start treatment at Dana Farber and I'm going through all kinds of emotions. Mainly I just feel unprepared. But I know this isn't a long-distance trip and I'll be back home tomorrow night with more information and experience than I have right now. And each day will bring a little more. There will always be a chance to flex and adjust.
I will try to check in often and stay in communication.

    Best regards,
    Sfumato

    "Chemo Eve" sounds almost festive.

Hang in there, Sfumato. You're making major progress!

Best of Luck! Keep us posted. Keep drinking fluids. Oh, stay close to the bathroom when the nurses say it's time for your lasex shot. Makes you pee like a race horse to flush the chemo. Hang tough Bro, you'll do just fine.

Kick it to the curb! Tell the nurses of any side effects so they can help you treat them. Water, water, water. Let us know how it goes!

Get a good night's rest. I'll catch you bright and early tomorrow. Call me when you are close to DFCI.

I'm so happy that you are going to Dana Farber for your treatments!
You will get through this, and we will be here to help.
Drink lots of water and Gatoraid type drinks-flush out the posion.

Be sure to be real careful to clean up after yourself when you pee- the urine will have traces of chemo... Use your own bathroom if you have several at home, (I think I recall you have a young child at home...keep them safe).

Take all the drugs they suggest, and tell your nurses everything and you will be fine!
