I just posted yesterday about how some very interesting articles about TC come from the Norway/Netherlands region. That area seems very active in the study of TC specifically.
4/26/07 - mass confirmed w/ no elevated markers
    4/27/07 - left I/O
    5/2/07 - Dx: 100% seminoma stage 1A
    Surveillance: CT/blood (6 month cycle)
    4/27/13 - 6 years cancer free!

I saw that article yesterday about the study that TC survivors have a higher divorce rate - and thought to myself "Yep, just my luck. No wonder the wife has been giving me that look lately".

Not really, the bottom line is the age of most TC survivors - they are young, so that is probably the reason they have a higher divorce rate. So, perhaps it is not applicable to us "older" TC survivors. And just maybe I am misreading my wife's expression (maybe is an understatement, I definitely can't read her very well - which is sad after 21 years, but keeps life interesting ).

Of course, if you took a poll right here, right now, I can't say many of us are saying we (or our spouse) wants a divorce.

Of course maybe that is just an indication of who seeks out support and who doesn't. Maybe those who don't seek out support have the higher divorce rate then those who seek out support and help.

My husband and I are both only 30 and have been married for 6 1/2 years. I suppose we aren't as newly married as some could be.

Another factor in not staying married might be children. I am sure more younger couples don't have three children at 30 like my husband and I.

I would guess there are a lot of factors that wern't considered or singled out to make the results more sensible.

        Who knows!

          Higher divorce rate explained
I thought they may have placed a naked photo of me running around outside again in the article. Seems every time they do the divorce rate goes up.

The reason could be because both diseases affect intimacy and result in decreased sexual activity, said Astri Syse of the Norwegian Cancer Registry, who led the study.
I guess its possible but I would need more facts to form an opinion.

I need my Buddy Rune to confirm this, but I believe the highest % rate for TC is in the Scandinavion countries. Perhaps the divorce rate is the same as anywhere else, just more of them have TC. After my third bout with this crap, I'm pretty much done with statistics anyway.

Considering I am married to a hard headed go getter that won't let anyone tell him what to do.....I suppose you could speculate that mostly "Type A" go-getter personalities get TC.

And "Type-A's" are never easy to be married to, but it is possible and it makes life a heck of a lot more interesting along the way! There is rarely a dull moment in our house. With my husband and two out of three girls that take after him....no life is never dull! We always have a new quest a new adventure to be striving after. Looking for something new. Constantly moving....life is fun!
