  • Good vibes for a good friend

    Folks:

Been absent this week I'm trying to recover from a case of bronchitis, combined with a middle ear infection and sinus infection, finally starting to feel better tonight.

I hope I can impose upon you all and ask you to send lots of good thoughts, vibes, and prayers toward Philadelphia on Tuesday Oct 16th. My dear friend, Kathy, is donating a kidney to her brother and the surgery is scheduled for that day.

    Thanks to you all.

      Dear Fish,

My thoughts and prayers will be with Karen and her brother this Tuesday. I have had 2 kidney transplants myself, so I know how life-saving and wonderful this operation is. What a special gift of life!

And i hope you too feel better soon.

                          Here we go again

I just got a note from my friend that the surgery was postponed until Friday

Apparently livers trump kidneys, and a liver became available for another patient. I can understand the necessity-- get a liver, do the surgery immediately, but it's certainly frustrating for all concerned.

Thanks again for all the good thoughts, and I will let you know what happens.
