  • Chances of cancer in other testical??

In 2005 I had my left testical removed and went through four rounds of chemo. Everything has been fine with me including all my CT-scans and blood work.

Now I am having tenderness in my other (last) testical.
I have a doctor appointment next Wednesday to get checked out. Blood work tomorrow (Thur) but have a few questions-

I have been recieving testosterone shots for about two months. This makes me feel much better plus I have my sex drive back.
Could this be a side effect of the shots?
    Also
What are the chances of getting cancer in the other testical?
Is there anyone here that has had both testical removed?

Sorry about all the questions but after cancer youlearn to ask everything.
Wish I had done that in 2004
Stage II seminoma and nonseminoma cancer 2005. HCG was 21,000.00 when it was suppose to be below 5.0- Lost one testical, 4 rounds of BEP, cancer free since last CT-Scan. But I was stupid. I let it go for nearly a year before seeing a doctor. If I had known about this site in 2004 I might have avoided all this!

The chances of developing contralateral TC after a first incidence range from 2-4%. We have several members here that have had TCx2. You doc may order an ultrasound to allay your concerns.

12.09.06 -Rt I/O; 100% seminoma, multifocal; Stage I-A; Surveillance; Six years out! I consider myself cured.

      The ole Ultrasound--
That is what said I had an infection back in 2005. They called it something like eppidice(sp) an common infection of the testical. Six months later it somehow turned into cancer after the swelling would not go down.

I just have a bad feeling about this--
However, I have learned that others have it worst than I do- so I go on!

I will not say it but I do not want to go through Chemo again.
