    Hi all my names mike, i just wanted to write and say hi , i just had a left radical Orchiectomy on wedsday the 7th and i am waiting for the lab results.
    and i have a Question How long does it take for the swelling to go away from the incision, Because i am quite swollen. Any advice is appricated and thanks

    Mine took around 2 weeks.
    Discovered 8/4/05, Diagnosed 8/26/05, I/O 8/29/05.
    100% Seminoma, some vascular invasion.
    Radiation began 09/20/05, last day 10/14/05.

      Welcome, Mike!

      Since it has only been three days since your surgery, it's no wonder there's still swelling. Give it time. Even after the swelling subsides, you'll feel a healing ridge and numbness near the incision, where nerves were severed, for several months or longer.

      right inguinal orchiectomy 6/5/2003 > nonseminoma, stage I > surveillance > L-RPLND 6/24/2005 for recurrence, suspected teratoma but found seminoma, stage II > chylous ascites until 9/2005 > surveillance and "all clear" since
