  • Bad Day

Ok, just having a BAD DAY, full of many tears. I am hormonal (Pregnancy)
This damn cancer leaves so many scars, not just visable ones. This A.M., I helped pack up some belongings from my brothers house. His house he lost in a foreclosure, this has been an ongoing thing, but now that it's really here, it's so sad. lost his home because, first, no insurance, when newly diagnosed, so he payed for his surgery with whatever little money he had, then chemo, he really didn't work much at that point, any assistance he tried to get, he needed to be considered terminal or quit his job so he'd show no income, and well, the list goes on, most of you know. So today is just bringing back all that cancer has taken. I know not his life, and to that I am eternally grateful. Now he's moving in with my aunt, a grown man, living with his aunt. OK, like I said, just a bad day.

I'm sorry for todays pain. I understand how hard these things can be and yes it's just a house but it was his house. Cancer may not take your life but it certainly takes the life you knew. Stay strong

I wish I could reach through the computer and hug you or take you out for an ice cream cone. That always made me feel better when I was pregnant

Cancer is a terrible thief, taking so many things from so many people. Robbing them of their homes, their confidence, and their security. But god bless you for being there for him. Just having you, makes him a lucky, lucky man. He will be back on his feet in no time. There is a new life waiting for him to discover.

And I would reach out and share my preganancy cravings...hot salsa and Jamaican grapefruit soda (Ting). And yes, my baby was normal even after that!!

This is a tough time, but you and your brother will persevere.

              Hugs, salsa and Ting,

A nurse that I work with looked at me the other day and said...you are consumed. Bingo! Cancer has absolutely entered every aspect of my life. The other day I was having a lively conversation with my boys. I said something about "if they only knew how rich I would be...." simultaneously they sent a loud and determined reply! Rich in money, they said, we bring a richness to your life that you cannot get any where else!!! We all laughed with the thought and gratitude. Pregnancy...another whole world of it's own...just know we understand! Sharon
