Welcome, Tony. I wouldn't be too concerned yet -- there are less serious possibilities than cancer. What symptoms do you have? When is your urologist appointment?

Hi Tony i thynk your very brave young man, firstly for going to the doctor in the first place and secondly for coming on to thys forum for more information.. if you were my son i would be very proud of you.... ABout being sent to see a uroligist i thynk thys is the best move esp as so many GP's are just to ready at sending guys away saying thyngs lyke "oh its just a cyst or a strain"...seeing a uroligist means your seeing someonewho deals wyth TC ... God forbid that you should have TC but at least if you have then they have caught it very quickly.....I have nephews your age and im foreva telling them to check themselves... Well done for being so observant about your body... Good luck when you go see uroligist im sure you'll be fine....keep us posted ... bless yvonne

        Tony:
I know you can't help being worried but the odds are that you don't have testicular cancer. When you get to the urologist if he feels a lump he may order an ultrasound, that's standard don't freak out over it. They will simply be checking the lump to see if it's fluid filled or solid. No big deal and it's painless, the goop and machine are cold but it's painless.
Congratulations on taking care of yourself. If you don't mind could you share your symptoms with us.
Son Jason diagnosed 4/30/04, stage III. Right I/O 4/30/04. Graduated College 5/13/04. 4XEP 6/7/04 - 8/13/04. Full open RPLND 10/13/04. All Clear since.

Treated by Dr. Rakowski of Midland Park, NJ. Visited Sloan Kettering for protocol advice. RPLND done at Sloan Kettering.

Being honest about it Tony, this sound's like a varicocele but because i can't see it i can't say for sure. Where about is the lump?
