So sorry to hear this. Blood clots are not unusual, especially with port or PICC line placements. Glad to hear that you are out of the hospital and on blood thinners. That sounds horrible.

Are you checking your blood pressure with the midodrine? I am assuming you don't want it too high and have they advised to take it early in the evening vs. at bedtime?

I wouldn't be overly worries about the bleomycin or next round. Things do add up but I would think the blood clot complicated things.

He could not possibly have worked during chemo (3XBEP). I wish you good luck!
SamanthaS I hope your son was able to make a full recovery from this awful stuff. I’m so sorry he had to endure it.

Yes, I am checking my blood pressure. It seems to be stabilizing with the medication. I’m working with my primary care physician to monitor my blood pressure and eventually come off the medication. They have me taking one dose in the morning and one in the evening before dinner. They said not to lay horizontal for a few hours after taking the pill.

I hope the next session isn’t as bad. I need to keep myself more hydrated and nourished for sure. I was just so nauseous and trying to avoid vomiting that I didn’t eat and drink like I should have.

My next bleo round has been moved to Tuesday so I can talk with the oncologist and she can check me over first.

Glad to hear that they are keeping an eye on your blood pressure and that they mentioned not laying down for a while. That part is the pharmacist coming out of me and how we advise the last dose of the day (around dinner vs. at bedtime).

After three rounds of chemo, blood clot, and persistently enlarged lymph node for many months, he is finally declared in remission after the node shrunk back to normal size. I believe that the chemo and the blood thinners all work really well, and I will pray to the universe for you (I am not religious) for your full recovery. Good luck!
