Great news on the clean nodes!!!Stage III. Embryonal Carcinoma, Mature Teratoma, Choriocarcinoma.
Diagnosed 4/19/06, Right I/O 4/21/06, RPLND 6/21/06, 4xEP, All Clear 1/29/07, RPLND Incisional Hernia Surgery 11/24/08, Hydrocelectomy and Vasectomy 11/23/09.

Orchiectomy - It isn't that bad
I just had a right side orchiectomy done two days ago after diagnosis of a malignant seminomal cancer.
I don't want to write too much about it here but it is really quite bearable. Your nuts certainly don't hurt - which is what one expects.
I've written a full report of the post-procedural situation here:
I will be following up with either radiation and/or chemo treatment in a couple of weeks and will keep you posted.
I was diagnosed with the cancer just two weeks ago after going to a second doctor - my first visit to my general practitioner back in March was a flop - he blew me off when I said I had discomfort in the testicular region.
Lessons:
don't take no for an answer
demand a visit to the urologist
change doctors if you have too.

Great advice Andrew. SO many, too many, here have reported getting told the wrong information that could be life threatening.Co-survivor with husband Boyce, Diagnosed 7-11-06, orchiectomy right testicle on 7-12-06- Stage 3A: Mixed germ cell tumor with inguinal seminomatous and kartotypic carcinoma. One tumor over 10 cm, second tumor 4 cm, Chemo 4xBEP: Bi-lateral RPLND Dec 2006, nerve sparing but left sterile.
Current DVT
Current testosterone replacement therapy, Testim.
