Orchiectomy - It isn't that bad

I just had a right side orchiectomy done two days ago after diagnosis of a malignant seminomal cancer.

I don't want to write too much about it here but it is really quite bearable. Your nuts certainly don't hurt - which is what one expects.

I will be following up with either radiation and/or chemo treatment in a couple of weeks and will keep you posted.

I was diagnosed with the cancer just two weeks ago after going to a second doctor - my first visit to my general practitioner back in March was a flop - he blew me off when I said I had discomfort in the testicular region.

Lessons:
don't take no for an answer
demand a visit to the urologist
change doctors if you have too.

I have Good news too !! Just got back home from Dr. Sheinfield office all lymphnodes came out clear!!! - rplnd. wahoooo!!!! Party on ! chris MOM. : )

Chest X-ray every month and blood test
CAT scan 4 months later if it's clear that's it for the whole year.
