    Hi to everyone,

    Im glad to report that my Hubby George is styll doing well.... One year ago tomorrow 9th August 2006, my hubby was admitted to out local hospital after feeling unwell for several weeks.... We are so happy that thyngs have gone so well.... He is back to hys normal, he has gained weight and i would say fitness level has returned... He goes out on hys bike every night .... We know we are so lucky.. andwe are so grateful for all the advice and help we got from everyone on thys forum... We hope that you all have a good recovery and only gain more strength from your experiance..... I dont post as often but i do pop into the forum now and again to keep up to date wyth whats happenin to everyone.... We wish you all well and please try keep positive, and believe.... love and best wishes to all members new & old.... take care Yvonne & George in sunny Scotland (Sunny? thats a joke)

    Yvonne, so nice to hear that you are both doing well.
    Co-survivor with husband Boyce, Diagnosed 7-11-06, orchiectomy right testicle on 7-12-06- Stage 3A: Mixed germ cell tumor with inguinal seminomatous and kartotypic carcinoma. One tumor over 10 cm, second tumor 4 cm, Chemo 4xBEP: Bi-lateral RPLND Dec 2006, nerve sparing but left sterile.
    Current DVT
    Current testosterone replacement therapy, Testim.

        Hi Yvonne! Thanks for stopping in to say "hi", and so glad George is doing well!!
        Retired moderator. Husband, left I/O 16Dec2005, stage I seminoma with elevated b-HCG, no LVI, RTx15 (25Gy). All clear ever since.

          How quickly a year passes! I'm so glad to hear that all is well.

          right inguinal orchiectomy 6/5/2003 > nonseminoma, stage I > surveillance > L-RPLND 6/24/2005 for recurrence, suspected teratoma but found seminoma, stage II > chylous ascites until 9/2005 > surveillance and "all clear" since

              Thanks for checking in. I can't believe it's a year already. Maybe we can meet up next year. Nancy and I will be in sunny Scotland in July 2008.
              Son Jason diagnosed 4/30/04, stage III. Right I/O 4/30/04. Graduated College 5/13/04. 4XEP 6/7/04 - 8/13/04. Full open RPLND 10/13/04. All Clear since.

              Treated by Dr. Rakowski of Midland Park, NJ. Visited Sloan Kettering for protocol advice. RPLND done at Sloan Kettering.

                This is wonderful news. It's gotta feel good when you are one year removed. I was in Scotland for a wedding in '05, and it was a blast (I actually wore a kilt, though not like a true Scottsman... imagine a Mexican wearing a kilt! ).
