low testosterone will present itself as being tired, flat, moody, emotional swings, and many more! i would bet low testosterone is the culprit so i would definitly have it checked. let us know!!

I do appreciate the concern. I am not, thankfully, at all feeling suicidal, just knocked down by all this... "flat" is the best term I can think to use.

I'm going to have my testosterone levels checked when I go to the doctor on Monday to eliminate that possibility.

I had chemo, but my response to this thread might help you:
About one month after chemo, I went back to work. I was an emotional WRECK! I was crying 4-12 times a DAY! My wife sent me to the doctor. He checked my Testosterone Level. It was at the low side of normal, which is one fourth what it was before the surgery.

I would bet that your testoterone is low. I haven't had mine checked lately, but about 4 months post-chemo I started feeling better.

Everything you are describing is normal, except for the suicide part. If you are feeling suicidal, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you GET HELP IMMEDIATELY! I can't stress this enough. See a psychologist or psyciatrist ASAP. A psychiatrist might suggest medication. If so, TAKE IT! It can be a temporary bridge until you start feeling better (despite what that nutcase Tom Cruise thinks.)

If you need someone to talk to, PM me with your phone number.

it will take a few weeks to start getting your energy back. it will gradually increase the further out from radiation you get. do have your testosterone levels checked, this could also be a culprit with the lack of energy. but it will get back to normal or even better!!! best of luck! brian
