  • One Year Down!

Just wanted to post good news of hope for anyone out there starting this journey. I just passed the one year mark since my diagnosis and received the "all clear" on my recent CT and X-Rays from my Oncologist today. Everyone's journey is a little different and not always the easiest, but for the most part the end is the same and that light at the end of the tunnel is something we should all hold on to.

To mark this milestone I will be doing the Florida Half-Ironman Triathlon this weekend here in Orlando (WDW). I was supposed to do the race last year, but was side-tracked with my diagnosis. I may not be very fast this year, but I intend to cross that line and continue to move forward in my life.

    LIVE STRONG!
    Diagnosed 5-5-05 (Stage 1 - Seminoma) / Oriechtomy 5-9-05 / Adjuvant Radiation July 2005

Tho' much is taken, much abides; and though we are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are; one equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will; to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
