Hi all, just had to share the great news...this past weekend in our area we held the 2006 Relay for Life for Cancer..it is an event held at various locations(schools) that runs from 12 noon on Sat. to noon on Sunday,,,someone from each team must walk the track continuously during that time.....,our Team raised $3, 600 and was voted Rookie of the Year....overall the school I attended raised $119,00....Chris was part of the entertainment.....I met as I walked the track a young man named Liam who was about Chris' age....he was wearing the Lance Armstrong Shirt that quotes "We are the Lucky ONes'...I asked him if he had TC cancer.... he is dealing with a germ cell cancer in the brain for the last three years...TEam Liam raised $15,000 on their own...the weekend was emotional, but very inspiring.....thanks for listening...Mary Ellen

That's great ours is this weekend at one of the local colleges.
I hope to be able to get there to support our team from work and maybe get some pics for the web, I have 2 things going on at the same time that night for work and I hope to be able to get to both of them with some quick driving Our company besides having a team lets us buy jeans day stickers for Thursday for 3.00 very popular at work to wear jeans Thursday and Friday and a great way to raise money for the cure.
          Thanks to all the walkers.

I am not on the team since I didn't know what was going on health wise 6 weeks ago when they were signing people up, but many of my close co-workers are on the team and of course I will be supporting them since they all helped me while I was gone from work. Our whole company does a lot to support this and many other groups during the year. I am very lucky to work for a company that has done so much for the community and for all types of medical research.
