I forgot to post a response I got from Marty Kantrowitz from the Testicular Cancer listserv. Since I think the guys on that list know more about what they are talking about than most doctors, it's a glaring omission on my part:

"Unless you have had extensive prior abdominal surgery, seminoma is extremely
unlikely to bypass the lymph nodes and chest and show up only in the liver.
The likelihood of this being seminoma is next to nil.

      Mark"

I have not had abdominal surgery prior to the i/o, and the spots were on my first cat scan. I still think it's good to be doing the PET scan, and if there is any uncertainty (even if not) to consult with Sloan.

My PET scan is scheduled for 9am at the cancer center. I'll let you know how it goes. Once I have results of the scan, I will contact sloan for a second opinion (regardless of the outcome).

Hope everything goes well. I find this thread interesting because it turns out I had a couple of anomalies turn up in my liver on my last CT scan that had grown from the last CT scan four months ago. However, they determined both were cysts and nothing to worry about. Good luck!

I spoke with an assistant (nurse practitioner) who told me that the results showed no activity (this is a good thing). The oncologist is going to call me Monday regarding followup/next appointment. I don't know if the dr. will want to do anything else or if this means I go back to surveillance.

I want to go pick up the films and get another opinion if there are any questions at all.
