  • Glad I got THAT over with!

Hi all, I haven't checked back here in a while but I'm finally done with my radiation treatments ... I am so happy to have that behind me! I was originally scheduled for 17 days of para-aortic plus pelvic RT but partway during the treatments the doctor told me I'd only be going in for 14 days so just hearing that felt like a new lease on life! I guess that St. Vincent's has recently changed its regimen from 2500 grays to 2000 grays but all that mattered to me was less days of treatment!

I turned out to be not bad in some ways and much more challenging than I thought in other ways. I got sick on just the 2nd day and I thought, "well, this is not a good sign." And that was with the compazine. I managed to keep it together after that though and although I didn't feel well at all, I never got sick again after that. Thank goodness I had lots of new fall TV programming to keep me occupied!

Now I can finally go back to concentrating on getting this new CD out the door ... I'll keep everyone posted!

That's all for now, I hope everyone is doing well ...
    Cheers
    Scott
