  • Update - 4 months after chemo

It's been quite a while since I last posted here (thanks Scott for the reminder!)

I am glad to inform you that my son who is 1 year and 5 months old now is doing great (he was 7 months when he was diagnosed with yolk sac tumor). his AFP last month is 1.40 (prior IO it is 11,400) and his CT scans (chest and pelvic) are all clear. His pediatrician is closely monitoring the possible late side effects of chemo on him (kidney test, hearing test, etc. every 6 months).

It's a great relief that chemo is finished but I still cant get any sleep when its time for the tests again ( we have to wait for 2 days before we can get the results).

Again, thank you guys and keep up the good work! this site has been a great help.

We'll keep you posted on my son's progress.
