  • Update on husband

I haven't been here in a long time, but I thought I'd give everyone an update on my husband since things are finally settling down here.

Last time I posted, he was in his first round of chemotherapy. He finished his second round the end of August, and he did so well. I couldn't believe how well he did. We are now on survellience, going every 3 months for CT scans, chest x-rays, blood work, etc. Our next appointment is December. I am still so nervous as I'm afraid something may either come back or have never gone away completely. I just feel we went through this way too easy and it's hard for me to believe that it's over (for now). We were building a house (by ourselves, not using a builder) when he got diagnosed. Between that and dealing with the cancer, we managed to handle it and now I can't believe we are done with treatments and surgeries and are now enjoying our new home. My husband is already talking about having another child, something we wanted to do after we moved into our new home and in spring it felt like it was so far off for us. I guess we'll see what happens because his sperm count was extremely low after the first surgery and I can imagine that the chemo didn't help any. So, that's where we are at!!!
