  • Varicose veins and TC

I had varicose veins stripped our of my right leg in 2001. Also had injection thearpy twice in 2002 to kill the rest of the veins.
Then five years later I was diagnosed with TC. Like a lot of other idiots, as soon as I noticed the lump, I went to the internet instead of a doctor.
I thought it was varicocele of the testicle. Thank goodness about a week later I went to the doctor and found out how wrong I was, and you know the rest...

Now I'm about 6 weeks post chemo, and the varicose veins are back in my right leg. I even lost about 25 lbs since my RPLND- (being overweight is a contributing factor to varicose veins). I don't know what brought them back...
Has anyone else experienced this? Looks like I'm going to need another stripping- any ideas on how long I should wait?

    check with your doctors

My suggestion would be to stick with your doctors, but make sure they are communicating and understand what each are doing between them. I'm not an expert, but I know that varicose veins seem to have a mind of their own. I can only imagine that chemo has not helped matters. Most likely they would have shown their faces anyway. Good luck, and sorry for the double wammy!! Image your body healthy!!! Take care, Russell's mom Sharon
