Very true. Russell has had a burst of energy and has offered to paint a room for me. Even after a cup of coffee, I collapsed onto the couch and into deep sleep after work..... looking more whipped than my lab coat. No word on the results yet, these are some long days. Russell will show me one of his favorite places on a lake near his house tomorrow. Scott, I forgot to thank you for the links. Very helpful!!! Russell's Mom, Sharon

Tho' much is taken, much abides; and though we are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are; one equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will; to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
He swam with his dog. Looked like a kid again. We talked about how stressed we were, then I realized that I had locked the door to my car, but left the key in the car door for the whole time we were down at the water. Waiting, waiting, the CT result has not come through yet and it is Friday night. No need to write more, I know I am understood. Take care, Russell's mom Sharon

We heard from the Onc MD today...(after I called!!!) Russell's Ct is ok. We will see the pulmonologist tomorrow...hope to get some answers on the chest pain, but I sure will sleep better tonight. A conversation that we had found us both admitting to some pretty overwhelming stress. All of the little stress relieving ideas seem like trivial toys compared to what it feels like it would take to get some relief. There are no days off!!! Maybe I am out of my boat in the river of life. My oldest is a river guide, while in the rapids,he is happy in the boat or out of the boat, it doesn't really matter. I am going to get there with my own personal river of life!!!!!!! Take care, Russell's Mom,Sharon

I am so glad to hear that the CT scan came back okay. Lean on us Sharon, I know you are having a tough time. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

We saw the pulmonologist. Decreasing fibrosis!!!!!!!!!! Tapering the steroids and he should be off completely by Aug 1. Praying those lungs don't make a change. Onc-CTs=ok Calm water in the river right now. It felt like a shift, a good shift, you could hear the difference in Russell's words and just how he carried himself. We spoke about the stress that we are both carrying. He said that for him it is because he feels like he is heading toward something big...that is doing something big...in a good way. I sure hope it is something a mother can just sit back and watch!! Today I am going to enjoy the insanity..no mind..there is so much less to do when you can't think of it. Russell's Mom, Sharon
