Yeah,I don't to as many sets as I used too.I tend to lift heavy weights like 4-8 Reps as my muscle's grow better as I get stronger. The problem is staying motivated.

I think that the aerobic exercise raises your metabolism in addition to burning off the calories through exercise. But, lifting weights does help firm you up and redistribute the weight where you want it, so I like doing both.

Plus, for me, another huge benefit is that I no longer get indigestion - before got it nearly every night. But now that I am limiting carbs it almost never happens (and I still eat carbs, but try to keep it to small portions - not the mass quantities like before - and I really don't miss them).

Carbs is what makes me gain weight to which causes depression when get out of shape.Im a compulsive eater when I get nervous and anxious. One thing I don't understand even though I am low on Testosterone9normal level's) I really never lost much strength from age 30 to age 37 now.I just worry about high cholesterol, heart health and osteoporosis.I don't worry about the cancer anymore.

Funny thing is my total cholesterol number did not really change - still at 200, but my "good" cholesterol has increased sharply, and the "bad" cholesterol is way down. My GP tells me that eventhough the total number is still 200, it is a healthy combination - and proof that losing weight and exercise works.

I can't say whether chemo affects your cholesterol (I had RT), but I can say that losing weight and exercise could definitely help.
Yeah,I never really exercise but I do lift weights but thats not really exercising.

Yeah I just stopped abruptly.I was only on a small dose of Zoloft so it was not to bad.I know thats not the way to do it but the Zoloft was making my Anxiety worse and I think it had something to do with my weight and cholesterol.I don't believe in those AD's anymore because they stop working after a period of time.

Yes diet is an important part of your life and has many effects on ones body. At one point in my trying to get my triglycerides under control I went down to 172 lbs. That is really light for me and my triglycerides were still slightly above the norm even with such a strict diet. The doctor told me to lose more weight. I laughed and told him the only way I could lose more weight was to start cutting limbs off. Since it took me so much to reach that weight it wasn't long before I said just give me the meds and put the weight back on. I'm at a steady 210 and have been that weight for about 5 years now.

I am most worried about Chemo because my Dad passed away from too much Chemo from Hodgkin's disease about 11 year's ago.The Chemo caused leukemia in his case which was bad. Of course he relapsed like every 6 month's so he got alot of Chemo and Radio over 5 year's.I saw somewhere there is about a 1% risk that TC patients can get leukemia but it might be under 1% depending on how many rounds and what stage it was.

Just a few days ago I had a CT scan of the liver because of elevated liver enzymes. (man did I miss the sweet taste of the barum. Yum) Seems the medication I have been on is causing this but they wanted to take a look to be sure all is ok. We know this because when I am off the medication the levels come down to normal or almost normal levels. I will be doing some more reading when I get some time.
