Have been taking Testim for almose a week now. It seems that no matter how long I let it dry after application, my T shirt still sticks to it a LOT. I didn't have to work today for example, and let it dry for 30 minutes before I put my T shirt on. My shirt still stuck to me to the point of being very hard to pull off. Any one else using Testim have this problem? What do you do to keep clothes from sticking?

I have used Testim for 2.5 years and I have the same problem. I'm not sure there is anyway to avoid it. That's one of the most annoying features of the topical gels. I used androderm for one month due to a mix up at the pharmacy, and the stickiness was not quite as bad. So, sorry I can't offer any suggestions to improve the problem. If you come up with anything, please let me know.
Best wishes,

De-sticking Testim
I thought I'd better try Testim, partly because I am told it is stropnger than Androgel, but also because I wanted to experience what everyone was saying. It is DAMN sticky!
Due to a mix-up with my pharmacy, I ended up with a combo of Testogel, which is the same as Androgel and Testim.
I tried the Testim and it was sticky first day having got ready for the day as I would for Testogel.
The next day, I had time to burn, so I left my shirt off for a couple of hours. Sadly it was still sticky.
Today, I thought I'd see what a mix did. I applied Testogel first, then applied Testim. Hey Presto the stickiness was almost eliminated!
Perhaps the answer therefore is to get an alcohol based gel that dries quickly and use it as a non-sticky transport for Testim.
I am in touch with the Testim people in the UK so will be discussing this with them. I'll let you know what I find out.

Nick..please do let us know what you find out. One thing I have found that seems to help is if I let it dry a few minutes, then apply a light coating of talcum powder over it. (The no smell type of course...lol. Had baby powder around but didn't want to smell like my grandson all day..lol)
Hopefully the talc does not decrease the effectiveness in any way like changing the absorption amount or rate. If you can ask them that Nick if you chat with them on my behalf, please let me know what they say. If not able, I may try giving them a call to see what they say. You might try the talc idea Fish,,,if we find out it doesn't affect anything.
One good thing...I can always use Testim when I don't have a tube of SuperGlue sitting around to put something back together...lol.Discovered 8/4/05, Diagnosed 8/26/05, I/O 8/29/05.

I use Testim and don't have any problems with long-term stickiness. I rub it very briskly on my shoulders. Once it dries fully, I have almost no stickiness, certaily not enough to make my shirts stick.
I wonder why some people have problems and others don't. I apply 2 tubes a day.Right I/0 March 30, 2005

Never tried gweides's solution, but I found applying small amounts of Testim at a time and massaging it in vigorously worked OK. I would wait about five minutes before putting a shirt on. But even then there would sometimes be some stickiness.
I never got used to the unpleasant, musky smell of the product, tho', and it took a lot longer than five minutes to fade.
My prescription expired after six months, and I'm now on Androgel. It's only been about ten days, so I can't really testify to its effectiveness, but it definitely has a higher alcohol content and dries much more quickly. It's also virtually odorless. I really appreciate not having that nasty smell lingering in the a.m. Don't know why Testim adds it to the product.
My $.02. I'll report back after I've been on Adrogel a couple of months.

Ive posted before about this same problem with Tostran Gel. I read an article recently that said the reason these two gels dont dry is due to a chemical called Propylene Glycol that (for some bizarre reason!) is added to the ingredients!
The article goes on to say that this chemical is potentially carcinogenic!

I have been using Testim for about 5 years. It definitely does take a routine to get it on and have it dry. I have found that standing in the steamy bathroom after I shower and expecting it to dry completely is useless, so I too walk around the house without a shirt for anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes, stopping whenever I find a ceiling fanI will try the second rub-in a few minutes later - seems like a good idea.
Propylene glycol is an alcohol, and most alcohols are carcinogens. We just can't ever get away from it, huh? It's used as a solvent for whatever else is in the gel.

I have been using testim only 9 months now. I have had times when my shirt stuck to me, but most of the time it does not. I suspect that it needs to be rubbed in better to avoid the stickiness, but have not real data to back that up.

Reviving this thread to follow-up on my post of a couple of months ago, after I'd just switched to Androgel from Testim. Definitely prefer Androgel. Apart from being virtually odorless and drying quickly, I've found it more effective than Testim, as far as increased libido (i.e., horniness). Testim was OK. The pump is also more convenient for varying the dosage. If I'm traveling for any length of time, as I was last month, I use a little less.
I think Testim's selling point was packaging--the little tubes. In response, Androgel introduced plastic sachets, like Chinese take-out condiments, for those who prefer this. Otherwise, Testim--w/ its unpleasant smell and stickiness--seems like a step backwards.

Testim users that have problems with stickiness, try this & report back:
Keep rubbing the gel in until there is no longer a "slippery" feeling & then rub a little longer (it will feel a bit sticky at this point), then leave it alone for 5 or 10 minutes & get dressed. I haven't had a shirt stick to me for ages now using this technique. I'm curious to see if it works for anyone else...

dave, this is what I do really, its still not ideal tho having to rub a gel for 10 mins when its advertised as "a fast drying hydroalcohlic gel" I suppose it depends on your definition of "fast drying"
ive found if I dress ( even using this method) within 30 mins, my T levels are substantially lower than if I wait for a couple of hours for it to dry ( only possible while on holiday!)
im talking about a drop from low 20's to 10 or 12.
i still feel ok but you can see this is a serious flaw in the gels make up that could be so easily fixed!
