Don, How are you feeling with the HRT? Has the sleeping gotten any better?

Don, Wesley is on Androgel and we were told that if he did have trouble sleeping to apply it in the morning that it could affect his ability to sleep and keep him awake. Right now he is on the 7.5mg dosage which is the middle dosage and it makes him feel better mentally and physically but the other things are still a work in progress. We were also told to perhaps ask the doctor about Testim, I have heard that it smells a little better than the Androgel and some people prefer it, if I remember right too it may be a little less expensive. My husband is on Androgel and has no side effects, no problems. And he certainly doesn't have any problems sleeping. Very easy to apply too. Maybe you can ask your doc about switching. Is the med you're on right now a shot or topical?

I take Testim, which is essentially the same. I have no problems sleeping and my energy levels are fine. I'm discovering my sex drive is not what it was pre-surgeries, but I accept that.Leave a comment:

Sleeplessness
I have noticed since I started taking Testred(10mg) about 3-4 weeks ago that I have had a problem sleeping... Thats not listed as a common side affect so I was wondering if anyone has taken it before and if anyone has had similar symptoms.. A good night is 3-5 hours of sleep since I started.. The weird part is that I really don't feel tired do to the lack of sleep.. Based on info I have read and info others have shared I am going to ask my DR to prescibe the Androgel next time.... ANy side effects with Androgel???????? Thanks
