  • Should I get some test before I/O

I have been having hot flashes for afew months now, now they are getting really anoying, I have taken testosterone once awhile ago and I felt great, I am worried that after my I/O tommorow that the hot flashes will be even worse aswell as anxiety and tremors worsening.

I am seeing my GP this afternoon and I guess I could ask for some Testosterone, My endocrinologist apointment is in 2 months time, I dont want to go through this for 2 months, would you guys recomend I take some testosterone decanoate capsules?

What I am worried about is testicular atrophy wich increases risk of testicular cancer doesnt it?

    HI Michael,

Yes you should go onto Testosterone again. In fact, you should never have discontinued it. Low Testosterone will cause ill health down the road.

I do not recommend capsules, because they normally involve the liver in some way or another. If it were me, I would ask for a daily gel.

Testicular atrophy does occur, primarily through overdosing on Testosterone.
Using a gel properly should not cause atrophy.

I do know one guy who had TC and is now successfully using Clomiphene Citrate, which has stimulated the surviving testicle to produce what he needs every day.

    I hope this helps,

    best wishes,

I used it as a steroid cycle when I was going gym afew years back, strangely just before the time I noticed the lump.

I dont want just enough, I want my testosterone to be in the upper quarter of the normal limit, I am 23, I dont really want the testosterone level of a 70 year old wich is what the lower half of the normal range is. I spoke to my new GP today and he said that tumors could feed off testosterone and grow, and that my tumor could be causing low testosterone, so I guess what I am considering is something further down the track maybe in acouple weeks if I end up seeing a encologist then maybe they can work something out with the endocrinologist, if they still think there gonna let me get away with low range testosterone I will go to an anti-aging specialist or find an endo who is more understanding, but only under the condition that it wont cause a re-occurance in cancer.

I was thinking maybe my cycle could of caused the cancer but I have read it doesnt cause cancer and I have a lot of mates who use steroids without clomid or nolvadex and end up with itchy nipples and they have no problems.

A lot of people here who want to be very healthy after cancer want to be able to run a marathon, I want to be big.

        Michael,

As much as you want to be big, Steroids are, in my opinion, dangerous things to be messing with.

Aiming for a number isn't the best way to go. You already have trouble with Cancer. Taking steroids to enhance your bulk will only cause complications to your health.

I think you should take your brush with Cancer as a warning to stop taking steroids to enhance your body and be satisfied with regaining your health.

Whatever the level is to ensure you are healthy, that is the correct level for you.

Don't screw with them, otherwise they will screw with you. You may be sure of that.

        best wishes,

Although I did use them once as a "steroid cycle". I am wanting to go on TRT/HRT in a safe legit way, I was on another forum with medical doctors on it and they said that using TRT/HRT to boost test into the upper quarter is safe, and that for men they should be in the upper quarter of the normal range and not middle in the range, and that a lot of doctors asume lower range is perfectly ok, were everyone on there was getting symptoms of low test just by being in low normal range. These are doctors saying that the longterm and shortyterm risks of low T are really bad and include a cancer risk.

I'm relieved to learn that Michael.

However, I don't think it right to suggest your "should" be in the upper quartile of the range. We are all diffferent. Some men are healthy in the middle area of the range. It is entirely possible to establish your correct level using blood tests, given you have a good LH and FSH response mechanism. The gold standard for measuring your hormone health is bio-available Testosterone, whether your LH/FSH response is working or not.

Medical doctors are not always the best source for hormone info. If you want a real expert, you should talk to Dr ER Shippen.

So far as I know, the only Cancer Testosterone agitates is Prostate Cancer.
It does not cause Testicular Cancer tumours to grow.

            best wishes,

Thanks, I am relieved to find that out as I was feeling really regretfull for doing that cycle for a lousy 2kg(it was the simplest most novice steroid cycle possible). I live in Australia so will I still be able to recieve help from Dr Shippen?
