  • A Bunch Of Questions,,,,help Me!

Who has been on Androgel for a lengthy period of time? Can you just go off of it? What happens if you just stop HRT? Also, I have microcalcifications on my remaining testicle what do you know about this? What should my testosterone level be right now? I am 41 and starting to develop arthritis and some other "post chemo" problems (ie memory loss, neuropathy and elevated RBC's) I haven't had chemo since 05 but I am considering taking long term disability due to what I feel are remaining side effects. Have any of you went this route?

(my wife has to type this for me...it has nothing to do with having one ball..I just have a great secretary)

You cant always just go off it, it depends on what ur levels were before starting, and current blood tests (how low ur LH and FSH is now).
If you go off it you will be lower then when you started for afew weeks and feel like ****, but this wont happen for 1-2 weeks after u stop.
your T level will most likely be abit low if your using 1 packet a day.

Why are you even considering going off your HRT?

Just wondering if someone suggested it, and if so, why? I think it would be very ill-advised to do so. As far as what your T should be, I think 750-1000 total T and 250-325 free T, with estrogen <20 is an optimal range (for a man, of course. For a woman those numbers are a tad high. )

Hi, I was on testogel & it worked (after a while) for me. I had good erections & high libido, strength returned, gynecomastia reduced etc, however after a few months all these diminished & i felt washed out again. I tried a shot but it nearly crippled me with pain! At present I am awaiting hospital test results & hopefully the consultant will think up something for me. Meantime Im just having to put up with things

The hospital might not know to test for E2, they might test for TSH but should also test for free T4 and free T3 regardless of TSH results.
