I do light resistance training, but not heavy weightlifting.

I started working out again recently, now that I'm recovered from the I/O. I lift, but certainly not as much as I did (or could) several years ago.

Ok cool, reason is the 1st thing wich made me go get diagnosed was I was getting weaker at the gym instead of stronger, I was doing medium intensity, high frequency training and after a couple weeks I was actually lifting less instead of more wich I srtraight away knew something was wrong.

3 times a week, instead of hitting each muscle group every 7 days, I spread out my sets over the week doing full body workouts, so instead of doing 9 sets of bench once a week, I would do 3 on monday, 3 on wednesday and 3 on friday.

I was using very light weight working my way up each visit(but never reached maximum load or went to failure), wich is hypertrophy specific training principles(training for size not strength). I was still in the 15 rep range instead of the usual bodybuilders 10 rep range because I was just getting back into it. So I was defenetly not overtraining. Form was good slow and steady and plenty of protein intake, but clicks started popping up and I found myself struggling and getting weaker. Then after each workout I would feel incredibly dizzy like I was going to pass out.
Since starting TRT I havent had any problems except the clicking wich I dont know is due to too low of a dose(5 grams testogel per day) or maybe I need to rehab my muscles which shrunk abit since the I/O, or its probly completly unrelated.

I have been rehabing my shoulders(narrowing range of motion to avoid clicks and impingment) which click like mad due to weakness(diagnosed by 2 physios and a doctor) and today was the 1st time I went heavy into the 4 rep range and its great I am actually feeling myself get stronger each workout and noticing a much quicker recovery.
I still need to see a physio or osteopath, gonna get my back xrayed cause it gets worrying sometimes hearing lots of clicks in diffrent places which wernt there before.

btw scott you should look into isometrics aswell, dont know too much about them or endurance athlete training but I came across an article which recomended endurance athletes use them I think there good for strength without hypertrophy but not too sure, as I know hypertrophy = bad for endurance, but dont quote me on this.

Yea I always listen to my body, like today I cut short a couple of sets on a particular excercise cause I was more de-conditioned than I thought.
4 months ago it was telling me it didnt want to grow at all.
