  • Striant

Based on my concerns with Androgel and the fact that I have 3 pre-pubescent children, my oncologist gave me a script for Striant. http://www.striant.com

Weird stuff, in the way that it is delivered. Anyone have any experience with this stuff?

hi kevin, search this forum for my earlier comments on striant. I went into some details!
I personally can not recommend it & if you decide to start using it Id be very interested to know your experiences.

I seached in the forum, and there were only a few passing references to Striant. When I searched on Google, there was a detailed thread that when I clicked it it said that the thread was no longer available. Must be an archived thing. Any chance on sharing a little bit of your comments?

      Thanks,

      Kevin

Hi Kevin, I couldnt find my post here either! but here is a copy of much the same thing that i posted on another site a couple of years ago:

just made another post on my experiences with testogel & Sustenon but the first treatment they tried on me was Striant. This is a tab you supposedly "stick" to your gum for 12 hours then remove it & replace with another. Sounds not TOO difficult in the company sales blurb however its definitely a NO GO-ER!
What happens is: first off, the things will not stick, then eventually you do get one (after half the pack has gone!) to stick but ,hey! its stuck to your inner cheek instead! If you DO get one to stick, you will constantly feel it up there. I describe it as having a peanut stuck between your lip & gum 24/7. It does your head in!
The instructions say "after 12 hours carefully slide the tab down your gum to remove so you dont scratch your gum" This is laughable as by this time the "tab" has turned into a gooey white mush that you have to scrub off with a toothbrush or tissues!!
Its supposed to raise your T levels to normal after just a day but I certainly had no improvement in my symptoms & binned the rest of my prescription after 5 days!
pity really as the idea is a good one, if only they had done a bit more research into its application in real patients. A much thinner (& MUCH stickier) patch or film would be a good start. Take note Columbia Labs!!
        Striant NOT Recommended!

Do try it yourself tho Kevin as different folk like different treatments & I dare say there may be a FEW people out there that think Striant is good!!!

          Mixed Results

From a TRT perspective, after 7 days, I coudn't argue that I am not feeling better. I am, and even if that is a psychosematic response all the better. I certainly have a bit more energy and my libido has improved. All in all, not too shabby, and I am feeling very positively about the next 4-6 weeks as the T begins to really kick in.

From a Striant perspective, I would have to give it a C+ at best. It looks easy, and when you pop the little guy in, I was having problems getting it to stick, as was mentioned, but once I realized that if I wiped the area w/ a tissue prior to insertion to dry it out, I could make it stick like glue. The challenge with the things is that under certain conditions, which I have not sussed out yet, the things start to break down and I end up eating and swallowing the bitter and nasty tasting things and also get a dose of heartburn. Today, I've had no problem (7hrs into a 12 hr dose), but on other days, there was next to nothing left at this point. I am more than used to having them in place, kinda like contacts. No big deal there, after a day or two.

So, I am going to stick with them to give them a full course of time 8-10 weeks or so, and if anything changes, I will update.

You might wanna try a 5% compound cream, maybe even a 10% one might be better then what your taking now.
Its a small aplication area and not as messy.

I would have been VERY surprised if you didnt experience ANY problems kevin, however the fact that you can actually put up with the constant awareness of the thing being there at all simply amazes me!
It made me so pissed off my wife was beginning to suspect the testosterone was making me angry!!!
Next I tried Sustenon but that crippled me for a day & a half & did absolutely NOTHING for the symptoms!
I use T gel now & it certainly works in the bedroom department! As for giving me my strength back or getting rid of my 38B titties..... no result! (BMI 24 BTW!, Im no porker)
Ive been told it often converts to estradiol & my levels are at 500 (dunno the units!) but a guy should normally be about 300. T levels are now at 30 tho they were at 1.8 before I tried anything!
Good luck with the striant, Ive read Columbia Labs (patent holder) need all the profits they can get from this stuff! LOL!

You should be on arimidex if your getting female breast tissue development, otherwise your either gonna be wearing a bra eventually or having surgery.

                    Hi Kevin
I Am in the UK and pretty new to this but seem to be doing OK on a drug called Nebido.I dont know if its available in the US but its a quarterly injection.I had my second orchiectomy a month ago and my first injection (pretty
big)the same week.I can honestly say I havent noticed a difference in how I feel and it seems to do the trick. It must be easier than sticking things to your gums or rubbing gel on daily.
                    Hope this helps Garry
