I've only switched to injectables (Testosterone Cypionate) a little over a month ago. I was started at using 100 mg every 2 weeks. This dragged on those last couple of days and I pleaded for a change. My GP said to try the same dose every 12 days.

Hi there Michael, when they started me off on enanthate the told me I would need 1 injection every month, an injection being 1m ampoule strenth 250mg/ml, over a short period of time it was clear the injection was not lasting long, so I reduced the time in between injections by a couple of days until I hit the right level, which for me was about 21 days. Over the years I kept adjusting the gap until it ended up about ever 12-14 days. It's only the last year that they didn't seem to be working so well, hence the change to Nebido. Hope that answers your question.

By the way started the injections in Jan 89

I injected again and this time it took about 5 days to kick in, and then everthing settled down again, but yet again it only lasted about 6weeks. The Doctors don't tend to listen to the me and want me to continue for the full 12 weeks having blood tests after 8/10/and12 weeks. So for me the Nebido is not so good, but I have read good reports about testosterone Gell i.e Androgel so I intend to speak to my GP about that, fingers crossed this might be the answer.

Hi DavidB, thanks for your reply.
After some negotiating with my G.P. and letter writing to my Endo, I have managed to have my interval reduced to 10 weeks.
I would be interested to know how 9 weeks was determined as your injection interval – I understand this is outside the manufacture’s standard recommendation.
My Endo has decided to set a measurement of 15nmol/L as my appropriate level. I had blood taken this week, and if the result is below 15, he will allow me to have a 6 week top-up and then go onto 10 weeks – above 15 and I will be starting 10 week intervals regardless. This customized treatment was sadly not forthcoming without much effort on my part.

    Nebido

I have used Nebido for over two years now, I take one injection every two months (approx. each 9 weeks) and do not have any complaints. I am 31 and I excercise and work a lot so I cannot imagine extending the interval beween doses. I feel that my T levels are quite estable, and do no longer think much about my therapy, although sometimes in the days after the injection I do experience some symptoms that might be caused by a supraphysiological level of testosterone (e.g. long morning erections)

    started a topic Nebido experiences?

    Nebido experiences?

I would be interested to read the experiences of guys using Nebido.
I have been on this method of TRT since August '06. Initial there was a huge improvement from my only other tried method using the very unsuitable Striant Mucoadhesive tablets.
I’ve now had 5 injections in total including the initial shorter interval of 6 weeks. I am currently on 12 week intervals but began to suffer from the symptoms of low testosterone for the final 2 weeks.
Prior to the last injection, my usual 10 -12 week low was noticeably creeping into week 9. In addition to this, the last injection seems to have had even less effect regarding an improvement. I have brought this to the attention of my Endo who wouldn’t even accommodate a blood test during my last 2 weeks, let alone consider shortening to a 10 week interval. I have now instructed my G.P. to write to him.
Working...
