Shame on CNN. I'm very disappointed in this article

Just when I thought attitudes about TRT were improving, something like this comes along. This article is extremely deceptive, but all most people will take out of it is "testosterone is dangerous".........Shame on CNN, in my opinion. We've known for many years that T pills can damage the liver and perhaps kidneys, but T pills are almost never prescribed anymore. Why didnt the article mention that?

Most if not all doctors know better than to take things like this seriously.

I saw this too and was a bit dismayed at the publicity the report seems to be getting.

First, the studies have so for been done only in rats, second, I don't know any men who are taking "pills" as the headline states, not in the conventional sense anyway. Oral testosterone has been proven to damage the liver.

My big concern is that this could scare doctors away from giving testosterone to guys who really need it. That would be sad, as this is only one study, in a rodent model.

We need to see some studies comparing groups of men who are on vs not on supplementation.
