Hey guys (and gals),
I am writing to share my experience with Androgel. The stuff just didn't seem to work for me. I was coming up with "lower" levels (between 300-400) on 8 pumps a day for the first 6 months following my second orchiectomy. I was also having 24-48 hot flashes (one every 15 to 30 minutes) a day. Needless to say, I thought that Androgel was crap and that I was gonna be in for a fairly uncomfortable existence. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the problems in the bedroom....lame to say the least.
Anyways fellas, if you are new to Androgel and you are having the same problems.....GIVE IT SOME TIME. I have been on Androgel for a year+ and it FINALLY started to work. And it REALLY began to work. I guess a little to well...my first test in 6 months...1300! I now know why I have been trouble sleeping.
I am now going to be taking 6 pumps and my wallet could not be happier. I thankfully only experienced the sleep problems....no man boobs or anything (my doc was suprised I wasn't getting bloated but he thought that it may be because I have approx. 5% body fat...does low body fat help with negative side effects?).
I wanted to share b/c I know how disheartening it can be to be on TRT and still feel like you don't have a drop of testosterone in you. I guess our bodies all respond differently but, if yours is anything like mine on the TRT, don't give up! Hope this helps.
