From the TCRC "After Treatment" article:

" an exam of the neck be done to assess for lymph nodes (especially supraclavicular nodes)"

Sounds like it something that needs to be looked at.

Jdbob is right they should be looked at however I believe that swollen lymph nodes in the back of the neck are more closely associated with leukemia. It probably is nothing but make sure they check for that.
Son Jason diagnosed 4/30/04, stage III. Right I/O 4/30/04. Graduated College 5/13/04. 4XEP 6/7/04 - 8/13/04. Full open RPLND 10/13/04. All Clear since.

Treated by Dr. Rakowski of Midland Park, NJ. Visited Sloan Kettering for protocol advice. RPLND done at Sloan Kettering.

I hate to tell you, but we know of someone's whose reoccurrence started with a lymph node in his neck. I will also tell you that years ago I had a swollen lymph node in my neck, a hard, pea-sized lymph node that was literally visible in the middle of my neck under my ear. Doctor asked if I had been sick with some type of infection, and I hadn't. He waited two weeks to see what would happen, one popped out on the other side. Went to the surgeon, he took it out, it was nothing. It ended up being an allergic reaction to black fly bites (living in New Hampshire at the time). I had been bitten on May 30 but the lymph node did show up until July 4 and by that time I had forgotten about the bites. The moral to the story is, check it out, but it more than likely is nothing. Hi

Th medical test result was : Supraclavicular adenopathy !!. The blood markers : HCG=0, AFP=3.9. I'm still anxios despite that the lymph node had shrinked[but not totaly]. I had some skin irritation on the back shoulder and maybe the supraclavicular lymph node enlargement was asociated with it.
          All the best...
