  • to chemo or not to chemo...

    Hi all,
I'm new to this place, as I had my IO only 2 and a bit weeks ago.
    My background:
Clinical stage 1, no vascular invasion.
30% Seminoma, 40% Mature Teratoma, 30% Embryonal carcinoma

My oncologist has put my chance of relapse at 20-25%, giving me the option of 2xEP adjuvant chemo or surveillance. What are peoples thoughts. I've read a hell of a lot on the net over the past week and talked to numerous people on other forums and so on, but it seems the more I learn, the more confused I am.

I prefer surveillance. If you're already cured, there's no reason to put yourself through chemotherapy (assuming you'll keep up with the surveillance schedule). If it turns out you need chemotherapy later, you'll have three cycles and know it was really necessary.
